Academic Development

The Academic Development Committee is responsible for identifying and planning educational enrichment opportunities for members. Events may include study sessions, tutoring programs, basic software training, and other events as deemed fit by the committee. Assigned Co-chair is responsible for coordinating the SPE Mentorship Program. Responsibilities include assigning one-on-one mentoships between mentors (comprised of both upper classmen and industry professionals) and mentees (comprised of motivated underclassmen who intend to distinguish themselves and more effectively prepare for the fall recruiting season and potential leadership within the TAMU SPE organization). The mentorship program will take place over the spring, summer, and subsequent fall semester.
